CÉ LA VI – Bar/Pub in Colombo with Vegan Options

Formally known as a Skylounge but taken over by Ce La Vi chain with the rooftop dining & club concept in Sri Lanka. This club can be found on the rooftop of Kingsbury Hotel. The rooftop has cosy seating with a view of the sea, a beautiful bar and a great DJ space.

We arrived as soon as the bar had opened, the atmosphere and the music were excellent. But as the night was progressing and got busier the music was played way too loud that we had to ask to reduce the volume.

Service and the staff were great. You can request nachos without cheese, edamame beans and vegan skewers which were really not worth it. Overall, had a great night out ordering the same food over and over again (except skewers) to accompany our drinks. They have a good selection of drinks both local and foreign. Must try.

Manager of the bar was on “duty” all evening. Coming up to each table and asking if everything was ok. Definitely deserves credit for that.

Well organised bar, there were plenty of staff ready to jump out to help you if needed. The toilets were excellent, there were staff just allocated in front of the toilets area to meet and greet you… opening and closing the door behind you……very unusual and impressive service 🙂

Loved the place and will certainly recommend Ce La Vi for a good night out.
