Chinese Dragon Cafe – Nugegoda (Vegan Options Eat-in / Takeaway)

Chinese Dragon Cafe in Nugegoda is the perfect place to buy mock duck in Sri Lanka! I was super surprised to see it on the menu. We had it as a takeaway and it was delicious. We also ordered a few tofu dishes which were good but the mock duck was the winner.

Chinese Dragon Cafe also has many “vegetarian” options that are vegan-friendly (except for the obvious ones that say ‘butter’).

Personally, I would go there and ask them specifically if any of the items contain butter, cheese, milk, ghee, mayo (most people in Sri Lanka don’t seem to know that mayo is made using eggs) and eggs before placing your order.

As a rule in Sri Lanka, if a food item is made with a batter-mix, then you need to specifically ask if the batter was made using eggs.

Eat-in or take away.
