Life Food – Vegan Food Healthy and Delicious in Colombo

Life Food Offers Vegan Food Healthy and Delicious

We heard about this place a lot and one day we decided to go there and see for ourselves if Life Food offers vegan food as they are saying.

The cute little restaurant with quirky decor facing the lake across the road in the heart of Colombo. They have quite a few vegan options on the menu although they are not labelled, the manager helped us with the selection.

The food here is heavenly with a unique taste. We ordered a Hit The Road Jack, Jackfruit Wrap and a Soba Sensei, Japanese noodle with Shitake Mushrooms and Bok Choy. The Japanese noodle on the menu comes with chicken and eggs but the manager suggested that they can make it for us as a vegan dish. Really nice of them!!  In fact, it was so delicious and I probably would have ordered another portion but because I ordered matcha green tea latte (made with organic coconut milk) I decided to give it a miss.

It’s great to know that Life Food is a health-conscious restaurant which not many of them in Colombo. Here is what restaurant saying:

“Life Food is not only a health-conscious restaurant in Colombo but also a place to treat the “foodie” in you. Made with locally sourced produce and a healthy lifestyle in mind, our food is wholesome, nutritious, fresh and a reflection of the way we love to eat every day.”

Conclusion

Life Food is indeed a restaurant that offers Vegan Options, fancy dishes with unique taste and flavours. The dishes had healthy ingredients and are delicious.

The staff know what vegan means which is always a plus!

In conclusion, the music was good, the service and communication were good. They have free wifi and plugs points by the tables if you needed to work. The only thing they don’t have is a loo for customers.  For that, you will have to go to the cafe Monkey Bean nearby. Monkey Bean cafe offers a selection of fancy teas, coffees and sandwiches but they are not vegan-friendly.

We ended up going to Life Food restaurant one more time and again, everything was perfect!
